The Ryan Family of Albion PA is deeply mourning the loss of Peter. We loved him dearly and shared his passion for life and "the game"......all of the girls had crushes on him and the whole house resounded with his laughter and good will when he visited. In 2007 we lost our youngest daughter, Anne, so we know there are no words to give you solace. We know your saddness has no measure. We send love to you and yours.

Dear Georgia, Mark, and Alex, We are devastated to learn about Peter's sudden death!!! There are no words that can comfort you at this time, but we remember how you being there for us when our dad, husband passed away gave us such comfort. We will remember little curly haired Peter who could not say Megan and called me Deedah through junior high. When I spent the summer in Dobbs Ferry and drove into New York at night to see the sights with you and a 4 year old Peter was singing along to the Eagles at the top of his lungs! Rely on the memories to get you through this. Peter lives on through his children. "Shower them with love," as the song goes and he will in turn feel that love. Peter is on a different ride than the one into the city thy night at 4, but this is a ride of peace and he would want you to find peace in the joy that you gave him during his life.

Love and many hugs and prayers!

Such a jolt this moning when our little paper told of Peter's passing! It attests to his notority even in a place like "The Villages, Fl". Many memories even as an elementary school principal. Steller student, opening our gym so dad and Alex and Peter could do liitle work, Georgia and her husband involvment in so many activities at Conway School. One of the most memorable was their hosting of the retirement party of our outstanding teacher, Ruth Sullivan.

I am blessed to have been a small part of Peter,s life but am grateful to have known Peter and his parents!

Really sad news. My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Sauer Family.

I worked out in the Bay Area in the late 1990s & was a Stanford Basketball season ticket holder. Saw lots of Stanford Hoops back in the day, and Pete was part of those glory years, with Arthur Lee & Mark Madsen & Ryan Mendez, TimYoung, MikeMcDonald & the CollinsTwins.

Pete was a great Basketball Player & a great human being. A day of sadness, for sure, but everyone he came in contact with, he left a lasting positive imprint on them.

To end on a positive note, & see Pete as he was when he was happy, take a trip down MemoryLane by viewing this video of the ending of the Stanford vs RhodeIsland 1998 NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament FinalFour Game.

[All StanfordHoopsFans know this game ...with
ArthurLee knocking the ball out of the RhoeIsland player's hands into MadDogMadsens hands.]

Really great/happy footage of Pete at 0:46 & 4:50 seconds of this video. This is how I will always remember Pete. Here is the URL for the YouTube video:
