I, too, remember Tom fondly from the Memoirs group. Besides his charming memoirs of work, life, and stilt-walking, he taught us about the "confluence" of life events, and about how to be a "backward poet." ---Larry White

Tom was unique. I referred to him as the Bay Room's resident Irish priest. His demeanor was awesome. kind, compassionate, and a quiet sense of humor.
As he shared his stories and or art work each week he was so proud. He shared his love for his wife, Dorothy, who ordered him out of the house to take classes upon retirement and his family. He took us to his hometown as a child, his work ethics, his trips to Alaska, and shared his love for life. Tom, you left your footprints on my heart. Pat McCaw. Memoirs leader after dear Sue Sarbaugh.

Tom was a Memoirs class favorite. I'll remember him for his great sense of humor and his loves - being Irish, a Navy man, and an artist!

Tom's stories were wonderful, and he read them so beautifully. I especially remember his story about the stilts. We miss his presence in our memoir class.
