I just finished the story of Lt. Murphy and found it both very inspiring and humbling at the same time. As a Army brat I was raised with a strong respect for our men and women in uniform.

Mike Murphy is the greatest human being that I've ever heard of. I carry his challenge coin in my pocket every day. Soon I will take my son to his grave site to pay my formal respects. You were a great man, leader, son and patriot. I promise, that in my heart, you will never be forgotten. I read everything I can get my hands on about you. I have the movie The Protector. I wanted to learn more about Mike Murphy and realized that it was no surprise that you did what you did. I didn't believe in heroes until I learned about you. I have the utmost respect for you and those that fought with you that day. God Bless you and R.I.P. Lt. You will never be forgotten.

I have read about Lt. Micheal P Murphy through the Lone Survivor and Operation Red Wings on Wikipedia. The raw courage you displayed on those mountains has inspired me. The words " you are never out of the fight" echoes in my mind whenever I am in difficult situation. Thank you Sir. I hope someday,I could do the same for my own country, as you have done for yours.I wish i could become a good soldier like you. A Crisp Salute.

I have read a lot on Lieutenant SEAL Michael Murphy in the past six months through Lone Survivor and Seal of Honor, and what he did for his teammates and country is something that can never be forgotten. Michael was a true hero, someone that should be looked up to as a role model. His selflessness and thoughtfulness to put others before himself is a trait that no many have. Although I always wanted to join the military ever since I was a kid, Michael truly inspired me to actually do it. I am eighteen years old and am now in the process of enlisting in the United States Army. Nothing but respect for this man and his teammates of Operation Red Wings that perished on the fateful day in 2005

I would like to personally THANK YOU for your ultimate sacrifice you have made and the way you did it, I was very fortunate to have paid my respect to you and say a prayer today by your final resting place over in Calverton Cemetery. After hearing about your story, you have made me even more patriotic and my love for my country I am forever grateful to you and your family for raising a hero. I know what it's like to lose someone my wife and unborn child was killed on 9-11-01 in World Trade Center so there is never a day that goes by that I am not grateful for every military member who serves this great country. He will never be forgotten. GOD BLESS YOU R.I.P. MIKE AND THANKS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

After hearing about your heroism and how you sacrificed your life to save your brothers it made me understand better what my son does.
Mike, you were born a hero, I have read and watched everything about you, you will always be Murph the Protector.
After I watched the movie about your life, there were so many similarities about your youth and my sons.
Every time I watch Lone Survivor I cry for what your brothers endured. You put up one hell of a fight. Never out of the fight. Words from a true hero.
