Santina Giuliano Obituary

Santina Giuliano (Musumeci), 90, of Middletown, wife of the late Giuseppe Giuliano, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 8, 2013. She was born on February 15, 1922 in Mellili, Sicily to the late Sebastiana Barone and Rosario Musumeci.
She leaves behind 5 children, Nella Lisitano, Domenico, Rosario, Carmelo, and Sebastian Giuliano; 8 grandchildren, Salvatore, Giuseppe, Sandra, Santina, Giuseppe, Alessandra, Briana, and Joseph; and one great grandchild, Giada.
Santina and her husband moved to the United States in the 1969 with all of their children. Even without knowing the English language, she worked at Peterson Florist Shop in Cromwell. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading the Italian paper, crocheting, and playing with her grandchildren. She was also incredibly devoted to her faith and especially favored Saint Rita. She spent her last years at Middlesex Health Care and the family would like to thank the staff there for their care and support throughout her remaining years.
A memorial service will be held for relatives and friends on Thursday, February 14th from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the D'Angelo Funeral Home on 22 South Main Street in Middletown, Connecticut.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 15th at 9:00 A.M. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home on 22 South Main Street Middletown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church 155 Washington Street, Middletown, Connecticut. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield, Connecticut.
