Oh my. A dear friend sent me this news. I am so sorry. Miss Dorothy was SUCH a good woman. And you knew her opinions on things because she was right up front in stating them! We laughed a lot together. I admired her. And she sure raised good sons! She was very proud of them. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord. God bless all her family. Judy Bergeson

To the woman that taught me the importance of baking cookies.

Stocking up on the ingredients.
Creaming the shortening and sugar with vanilla.
Mixing in the flour and salt. Rolling the dough.
Never really a chore making cookies.
A labor of love. Gone in a moment.
Paid for with a smile.

In my heart whenever I perform a labor of love, be it a dinner made, a handmade gift, a lock fixed or any of the million things we do in love. It will always be to me “Baking Cookies” and I think of you.

I fondly remember days when we were quite young and played 'work ups' in the yard out at the farm. Aunt Dorothy would appear from time to time to say cookies were available inside. To my cousins, I send my sincerest sympathies to you. With love, Nancy Bryant
