Gladys R. McKinstry, 84, of Upton, died on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Allan W. McKinstry. Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Aram Arthur and Grace Sarah (Berry) Bigelow. She was educated in Biddeford and Kennebunk schools and was a graduate of Kennebunk High School. Gladys worked as a teac- hers aide at Blackstone Valley Technical High School for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Community Covenant Church in Hopkinton, an active member of the Upton Senior Center, where she delivered Meals On Wheels and belon- ged to the Knitting Club. She was a former member of the Upton Bloomer Girls and enjoyed knitting and cooking. Gladys is survived by three children, Allan W. McKinstry, Jr. of Upton, Janice K. Mosko and her husband, Jack, of Woburn and Glenn S. McKinstry of Uxbridge; two brothers, Elliot Bigelow of Whitinsville and Edward Bigelow of Upton; two sisters, Myra Bigelow of Upton and Caroline Bigelow-Fort of Upton; five grandchildren, Kyla McKinstry, Erika Wine and her husband, Chris, Cameron McKinstry, Jacqueline Mosko and Jillian Mosko and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Litchfield, Jayden Wine and McKenzie Wine. She was the mother of the late Robert E. McKinstry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 14, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Willi- ams-Pedersen Funeral Home, Inc., 45 Main St., Upton. A graveside committal service will take place on Thursday, March 15, at 9:30 A.M. at the Hillside Cemetery, Rt. 62, in Sterling followed by a memorial service at the Community Covenant Church, 2 West Elm St., Hopkinton at 11:30 A.M. I just heard this and am sorry I did not know sooner to attend services. Mrs M was a great teacher who I did not appreciate until adulthood and I am so glad that I had seen her and told her that. My sympathy to all her family.

To Gladys family please know she was loved by me and i knew her as i go to the Upton Senior Center and saw her there at knitting and many of the functions . She always had a smile and hug for and from me when we saw each other. Please rest in peace my friend and till we meet again.
