BRINKLEY Annie Hampton Brinkley, a resident of Mobile born May 15, 1938, passed away at a local hospital on Saturday, January 12, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew James and Hattie Mae Hampton. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted and loving husband, Willie Brinkley, Sr.; four sons, Wilfred Brinkley, Willie Brinkley, Jr., Atlanta, GA., Jeffery (Gloria) Brinkley, and Kendrick Brinkley, Mobile, AL.; 14 grandchildren; 9 great- grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lillie Barney, Alma (Vick) Vickers, Wilmer, AL., Maeola Cunningham, Atlanta, GA.; 2 brothers, Percy (Josephine) Hampton, Pennington, AL., Henry (Ethel) Hampton, Whistler, AL.; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at Eleventh Street Church of God in Christ, 7164 Eleventh St. Mobile, AL. 36608. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL. Arrangements are entrusted to the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home.
