I am so thankful for the love and friendship Gabe gave to Ella, even at suck a young age. Here are almost a year later and my baby still talks about Gabe and how much she misses him. Everytime she gets a balloon she wants to let it go and send it to Gabe in heaven. My thoughts and prayers still go out to the Skipper family.
You know, I think of the family so much and I can only imagine how hard each day still is for all of you. I do pray that you find comfort and peace and I know he is a precious little angel watching over each of you.
I miss you so much baby boy!!! I hope you got a great view in heaven to watch those fireworks last night!!! Also, while we celebrate your 5th birthday tomorrow, stay very close to us and show us a sign that you're near and that you're ok alright sweetheart? I love you to infinity and beyond baby boy!!!

Then when we were getting ready to send you the balloons, we knew you were excited for them, because you made the wind blow, and almost blew the balloons away. Losing anyone is hard, I have lost my wingmen in the military, buddies I have played ball with, family members, and My best friend (my father 1.5 ago) all unexpectedly, but on the tough days when I miss them the most this verse answers my hurt, and after a couple of tears, I smile and close my eyes and picture them all dancing at the gate with my father and Little Gabe Skipper.
