I believe this is the same Bob Stallings I went through Army AIT with at Ft Monmouth in NJ about 1970.
If so, I have some great stories to tell about him and his positive humour during a trying time in our lives. Even though we didn't keep in touch for too long, I still have fond memories. I'd appreciate it if someone would contact me to confirm.

I moved to Mobile in the winter of 2008 and got a job at silver ships, I was a stranger in a new place and did not know many people, Robert was the first friendly face to greet me and from there on out he took me under his wing. We rode motorcycles together and he showed me all kinds of cool places and introduced me to all kinds of people, most of all he just made me feel welcome and at home in a new place. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of his passing, he was as good of a guy as there is out there in this world, and I am going to miss him. Ride on buddy, we will meet again one day.
