May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

You shared such wonderful short stories about growing up in Hearne, Texas and later when you were stationed in North Africa during WWII. You and Sparky were the embodiment of American Heroes of an era which changed the course of history as did millions of young service men and women like you. You were instrumental in taking broken pieces of aircraft and making them fly again. You were so proud of all the men in your command but Sparky was special, as was your older brother who was stationed in France as an Air Force Pilot. Two brothers in one war fighting for the same cause so many miles from the small, dusty Texas towns of your youth. I treasured our brief time together and will forever recall your kindness to others and the many good deeds you preformed. You lived a full and productive live. May you always walk with God throughout eternity. I think of you often and always will. Thank you for your service to a very grateful nation.
