My last contact with Barry was over 30 years ago, but I still remember it well. I worked at the flight center where he took his flight training. Tradition is, when you do your first solo, we cut your shirt tail out, write your name and date of solo on it and put on the office wall. Well, Barry came in from his solo and he was wearing a nice dress shirt! I didn't want to ruin it, he was going back to work, but he held his arms up and said "go ahead". I cut a good chunk out of that shirt and he just put his jacket on and went back to work. I'm sure he had to show it off! It's funny how little things like that create a memory. Barry now has his "real wings". RIP Barry...the sky's the limit! My condolences to his family and loved ones.
