Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf

He once said to me; "Treat everyone like a 4-star General regardless of Rank." He had a way of making everyone feel special. It was a great honor to have served him during and after the Gulf War. A true Hero!

It ws an honor too have served under him.
May he rest in peace.

Love and prayers go out to the family of this much loved and admired patriot. The world was a much better place because of men such as the General. May God comfort the family as only He can.

The United States has lost a great advocate, a great friend, and a great man. We were all was very sad to learn of his death. This special man will always be remembered by the family of my father who has since passed away, James W. Hicks. To us, "Stormin Norman" was a Gentle Bear who was very well loved. We are so appreciative of his efforts and very grateful to him for his service. May God Bless him in Heaven and reward him for all of his efforts to bring peace to a horrendous world. From our family Bea Hicks and the girls; God Bless you Brenda and your family, we wish for God to be at your side. May your future be bright and happy and know that he is in a wonderful loving environment and well taken care of, in Christ's hands. May God Bless your Entire Family and their future.

My heart is broken. Our General, and the greatest hero of our time has passed, never to be replaced. I'm a calligrapher & during the end of the Gulf War I lettered the General's favorite song "I'm Proud to be an American", framed it and sent it to him. He responded within three days & said he would find a prominent place in his home for it. Everytime I hear this song I will always think of the General. It is who he was. My sincere condolences to his wife, children and the rest of his family. He will never be forgotten. God Bless.

Our prayers are with you and your children during this difficult time. Norm was a great boss and mentor but an even better friend. I will always remember our fishing hunting and skiing adventures in Alaska and Virginia. You always knew where you stood with your husband and what he was going to love or hate. If it was good for the troops he was always on board.
We will miss him.

During OEF/OIF I served under GEN Franks as the HQ CMDT. Thanks for serving 35 years in the Army. May you rest in peace at Arlington.

America has lost a great patriot son for whom I have DEEP RESPECT! Fair winds and following seas General. It was a high honor to serve under such a GREAT MAN!

Brenda, I just finished speaking with you on the phone. Karen and I called to see how you were holding up. We love You and The General and will miss him so very much. Our friendship is 21 years old and we always so looked forward to visiting with You and The General around Christmas every year. Our visit next year just won't be the same without Him there. I am posting a picture from a few years ago of You and The General when Leo decided that he wanted to be in the picture. It is wonderful to see You Both holding each other and laughing because Leo decided that this picture was not going to happen without him being in it. Karen and I Love you and will see you soon.
