BETTY ANN (PULLEN) CHEVALIER
~Betty Ann Chevalier, age 80, peacefully passed on in her sleep on Saturday, February 8, 2014 with her husband of 51-years close by, lying next to her. She was born on October 19, 1933 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the only child of her parents, Charles Pullen and Grace S. (Weatherford) Pullen.
~Betty married the love of her life since grade school, Maurice R. Chevalier, on April 14, 1962 in Nevada, Mo. Betty and her family moved from Iowa to Calif. in 1966 and then to Mohave Valley, Ariz. in 1978 when the Santa Fe Railroad transferred her husband to Needles, Calif. They bought a home in Mohave Valley, Ariz., and being Christians, became members of First Southern Baptist Church of Mohave Valley.
~She was a wonderful mother so dearly loved by all of her kids: David Chevalier, Deb Chevalier, Elizabeth (Earl) Staggs, David A. Earl, Maurice Chevalier, Jr., and Francine (Chevalier) Gardner; and their progeny of 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; dogs and a cat.
~Everyone who knew and loved her shall sorely miss Betty's subtle humor, outspoken viewpoints and facetiousness, and the animated ways she retold family stories.
~Betty had chosen to be cremated and wait to have her ashes mixed with her husband's when the day comes for them to join again.
~A family gathering is planned for later to celebrate her life.
~We all loved her so very much and shall one day see her again on the other side,
where nothing but love resides.
