Don't sit on your haunches (as she might say) and mourn her. Get out in the streets and fight for what you believe in--that is a fitting tribute for this wonderful woman. Speak up, stand up, and never give up.

You had a quick, sharp wit. You share that with another of Texas' all-time favorite women, Ann Richards. I hope you two have a great time discussing Texas politics.

You once said one of your greatest achievements was being banned from the Texas A&M campus. May we all be so lucky...
