My condolences to the Buttom's family. I'm very sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time, and be comfort and strengthen by God'sWord in John 6:40.

My deepest condolences from my family. He was a man with a great love of history and an amazing memory. He remembered and asked after my siblings decades after we were his students. He was a kind, gentle man that was an educational inspiration. He touched many lives.

Both Michael and I were saddened to read of Ray's passing. He was such a kind person who was a true gentleman. My teaching career start by with an interview with him that lead to a 38.5 year career. He always exhibited his love of education. My last visit with him was when he talked to my daughter about writing and publishing. He always took that extra time to make you feel very important. We extend our deepest sympathy to Linda and family.
