Uncle Duron, what a wonderful man he was. He touched so many lives in his 100+ years. My memories of him go all through my childhood. He and his family coming to visit us during the summers, were indeed the highlights of my summers. My most recent memory was exactly three weeks ago when I had the pleasure of spending the better part of the afternoon with him. He was still strong enough to be alert and talk to me. I have replayed our conversations over and over in my mind so many times since then.As it was nearing time for us to leave, he said to me "It's a wonderful life". After he repeated that phrase again, I asked him had it really been wonderful, and his answer to me was "it sure has been". He went on to tell me that he had no regrets and wouldn't do anything any differently. He appeared to be very happy and at peace.

Uncle Duron has always meant a lot to me, and watching my wife and children get to know him in recent years has brought me great joy. Rest in peace Uncle Duron, you will certainly be missed.

Rest in peace, Uncle Duron. Think of all the wonderful changes he experienced during his 100 years.
May his many family and friends know that he is with the Lord now in a much better place.
