I am a better person for having known Colonel Jerald C. Burns. I appreciate greatly his service to our country and his belief in and love of family and friends. He led by example and what a wonderful example he was. My condolences to his children and family.

I had the honor to serve with Col, Burns at ASU, he will be greatly missed.
In your time of loss know that you have the deepest sympathies from the Burns family in Virginia. We are sorry we cannot be there today to celebrate the life of someone so close to our hearts. May "Pap Pap" (as he was known to my daughters) rest in peace. It is fitting that Uncle Jerry passed away on Patriots Day. His service to our country will not be forgotten.
Love Joe, Kristin, Tori and Megan
I'm sorry I can not be at Uncle Jerry's services. He will be in my heart and prayers, as are Larry and Dad (Jim)!

Please except my condolences. I am very sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time. Lean on Him for support through prayer and reading his word the Bible daily.
I salute Colonel Burns for his service to our country; in war and peace.
I am sorry for your loss. Col. Burns and I always talked about the military. He was a patient at the facility where I work. He would call me Major Romanda,He would say to me, how's the moral of the troops, I would say it's fine. I'm going to miss seeing him but he's in a better place. To the family take comfort in knowing he's at peace.
