Dear Dad, Thanks for all your help, guidance and especially your Love. I'm looking forward to the day when we'll meet again. Together we will toast that day with some good Scotch whisky, sing a song or two and maybe even get a round of golf in as well. I Love you Dad. Till we meet again, John.
Dr. Ferguson was a principal who always had an open door. As a teacher, I respected and enjoyed working for him. He was honest, hard-working, really cared for kids and supported his teachers. He made school enjoyable for everyone.
From one of many appreciative former students. I still recall those meetings in Dr. Ferguson's office while a part of the 5th grade student council. What a decent man and a wonderful example of a role model. Wishing him a peaceful journey and sending thanks to his family for providing this opportunity to express our regards.
Dear Uncle Harry, thank you so much for the wonderful memories as a child sledding at your place to the memories as an adult and bringing my kids to Aunt Doris's and your house for a memorable vacation and family reunion. You will be missed by so many. Love you
Years later our four children enjoyed Jarrettown under the leadership of Dr. Ferguson. Sheila Heins
I remember my interview with Dr. Ferguson many years ago. He commented he had no problems at Jarrettown Elementary, that was an impressive statement, even back then, and he impressed me with his genuine kindness and warm personality. He was a wonderful principal, a keen educator and a gentleman, appreciated by teachers and students alike.
Dr Ferguson was my sixth grade teacher and principal at the old East Oreland Elementary School and was then the principal for my 3 children when they were at Jarrettown Elementary. I remember him fondly. He even remembered me when I saw him at Jarrettown. A great man and a wonderful educator.
Thank you for all you have done for us. The thing I remember most about you were your Mustang and you dressing up for the haunted house for the October Festival. You will be missed.
Dr. Ferguson was an awesome principal at Jarrettown Elementary School. Thank you and you will be missed. Love, Samantha Mittman Besnoff
An amazing man, I will always remember his sense of humor and love of cookies. No one made roast possum and yo-pond tea sound more appetizing.
Dr. Ferguson you will be truly missed. I have often thought about you over the last 23 years. Being your secretary for 2 short years were some of the best years of my working career. You were a wonderful principal and all around great man. I will continue to think of you each time I look at the Jarrettown stoneware jar you gave me one Christmas. My prayers are with your family.
Not only did he bring out the best in his teachers, but also the best in his students which counted in the thousands. Frank & Bev McPoyle
Sorry to hear. He was a wonderful man and I will always have fond memories of my first PrinciPAL
I was saddened to hear of Dr. Ferguson's passing. He was the ultimate principal. He cared about each student and took the time to get to know each and every child in Jarrettown Elementary School. I will always remember his smile, gentle demeanor, and dedication to the children. My prayers are with his family.
We want you to know how much we loved you and how we loved spending time with you and your family thank you for all the great memories and your love. We love you chip and Peggy
TO THRE FINEST PRINCIPAL JARRETTOWN WILL EVER HAVE . THANK U DR. FERGUSON FOR A JOB WELL DONE
I loved Dr. Ferguson! I remember when he got his PhD and we had to start calling him, "Dr. Ferguson" instead of, "Mr. Ferguson!" I was so confused because the only doctor I knew was our family doctor, Dr. Fleishman! My sympathies to his family-he was a wonderful principal and a wonderful man!
Love, Annie Esterlitz
Farewell and God Bless You, Dr. Ferguson! Thank you for helping lay the foundation of the education of many pupils over many years, and for being a most worthy mentor and next-door neighbor to me during my childhood. Rest in eternal peace!
Goodbye Dr. Ferguson and thank you for being a great neighbor and friend to my family. You will be missed very much!
Rest in peace Henry.
Our deepest sympathy . Tom and Maggie Popadak
Although I didn't know Uncle Harry very well, he was very close to my Mother and Father and the group of friends they associated with back in the day. My best wishes to this branch of my family, may time lessen the sadness you are experiencing now.
It was my honor and privilege to have worked as an educator for Dr. Ferguson at Jarrettown. He taught me how to be the best teacher I could be and he genuinely cared for every Upper Dublin student enrolled at Jarrettown Elementary.
Dr. Ferguson was my principal for many years. He was an outstanding educator, an knew how to bring out the best in all his teachers. It was a great honor to be able to teach under his guidance.
