Happy Birthday John!
I was with you in spirit all day my dear friend!
Happy birthday !!! MISS U RIP
My heart has been heavy and I have struggled with your loss. It is difficult to not be able to stop in or just make that phone call to say hi and see how you are doing. What has helped is remembering all of the wonderful times that we have shared.
The fantastic trips that we all took together and so many of the funny times. Fantastic fishing days and along with some of the not so great.
You taught me many things that I will never forget and so many things to be shared with others. Know that you will be remembered as a dear friend and we will never forget your great Witt nor jokes.
God Bless you and God Bless all of your friends and family that you have left behind.
Cheers our friend. Love Margie & Keyes
For the past six and a half years I have been fortunate and privileged to have known John. He was the best person ever. Always good natured and wonderful to be with.
I can not think of any man who was as affable, picked up his clothes, was neat as a pin, good looking, lived in a beautiful home, cooked up a storm, and loved to shop.
He's left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
There will never be another John.
John was one-of-a-kind!When I visited, I felt like I was "home." John made sure I was well fed and well entertained. He always made me laugh, ( sometimes to tears), and, as family, you knew you were loved. It was rejuvenating to be around John. He seemed to have found that fountain of youth! I never could quite master that fishing-casting-flick-of-the-wrist motion that John so patiently tried to teach me. No matter how poorly I did,he would just say, "let's try a different pole." John was blessed to have been surrounded by those who loved him: Elaine, Sue, Chris, and all his Punta Gorda family. John had a way of touching so many lives---I'm blessed to count myself among them. Love you cousin! Lorrie Haskell and The Haskell Family
Our prayers and condolences to Captain John's family and friends from the Spring House Reed family! We shared many happy memories at The Pike, of which we will be forever grateful! God Bless you all!!
my sincere sympathy to all of Johns family especially his wife Elaine
It has been my privilege to have known John Pappas for forty five years. We become friends when serving as President and Board Chairman respectively of Flourtown Sandy Run Sportsmen's Association. We shared an interest in the shooting sports and a real passion for boats and fishing. We became as close as brothers over the years. I was his best man at his marriage to Elaine and served as first mate on the "Easy Rider", and many boats to follow. John hosted many friends on his memorable fishing trips. His unique personnality and easy manner made for many happy days aboard..... You will be missed my brother. Let me know how the fishing is up there. See you soon! Jack
It's hard to believe it was almost four years ago that we met John. We became genuine and trusting friends within a short time. John's kind, gentle and generous nature drew us to him and we grew to love him. He, Elaine, Chris and Sue became our second family. We feel truly blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing John for the short, but meaningful, time that we had together. We express our heartfelt condolences to those who knew and loved this wonderful man. With love, Ken, Debbie and Cappy.
It is less than four short years ago that we met John and we became true and genuine friends within a short time. His kind, gentle and generous spirit will live on in our hearts because he made such an indelible mark on our lives. He was a true gentleman and a cherished friend and he will be sorely missed. We loved him like a member of our family and he and his family became our second family. We send our heartfelt condolences to John's family, Elaine, friends, Sue, Chris and all of those who feel the loss of this wonderful man. We love you, John, and we feel so blessed to have been able to share the last four years with you. Ken, Debbie and Cappy
My condolences to John's family - John had a spirit that radiated and lit a room and entered your soul. He was blessed by the people who surrounded him (Elaine-Sue- Debby-Chris ) and I am sure countless other friends --as he had many. Bruce and I had the pleasure to visit him not long ago. We loved him and will live fuller for having know him. Love to all who loved and cared for him.
John was always kind and an amazing host. My children and I enjoyed many good meals and lots of laughter with John and Elaine. No one made a better Philly Cheese Steak than John Pappas. He had a sweet personality and very funny. He will be sadly missed.
Fond memories of six happy years on Brindisi Court, Punts Gorda.
Dear Richard's greeting to John every morning 'mi casa es tu casa'!
