Dr. Leary was the best superintendent that Waynesboro had during my tenure as a teacher. You knew he would have your back! My sincere sympathy to his family.

May his soul rest in peace and may his family find solace with the Lord

As a teacher in East Penn, I admired Dr. Leary and always looked forward to his "first day" talks. He was a well-respected administrator and a personable gentleman. My condolences to your family.

I am sad to hear of Dr. Leary's passing. He was an inspiration to me from the first time I met him during my two hour East Penn interview. He knew all of the "rookies" names by the first day of school. When he hired me he said he "wanted a soldier for the level one foreign language classes." Much to the chagrin of others in the department, I never let him down. I thought of him often during my teaching career and will continue to do so fondly. He was a great advocate for education. So sorry for your loss.
