RIP, Mr Robertson. And thank you.
A Thousand Winds
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

My dear Honor,
I have just read in our local paper of the loss of Douglas!
He was truly a fine man, respected by all!
Each time I see the "Carriage Jack" in Fulford, that he gave me, now has even more meaning!
May you and your children always cherish his unique manner and ways!
May he Rest In Peace
Fondly and with Respect

Condolences to Douglas' family from the Canada China Business Council. As Executive Director from 2007 until now, Douglas was both a member of CCBC and a director on my board. He was a great man to work with, he taught me a lot, and we were sad to lose him from the board when he retired. But my best experience with Douglas came in 2011-2012 when he gave my husband and I the greatest gift -- a referral to his travel agent in Myanmar. We used her for a wonderful trip in January 2012, and I will never forget the experiences we had that were made possible by Douglas.

Dear Honor,
I was very surprised and sad to hear about the death of Douglas. Having worked with him for two years at Heenan Blaikie, Douglas has always been a gentleman that I respect and admire for his straightforward personality and his great sense of humor. My deepest condolences and sympathy to you and the rest of the family. Always take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Dear Honor
It was with shock and sadness that we learned today of Douglas'untimely passing. I is hard for us to imagine this gregarious
personage and bon vivant silenced. He leaves us with an important lesson to "Carpe Diem". Our thoughts are with you. Please accept our deepest condolaences and convey them to your family.

Dear Honor, Ron and family,
David and I were shocked and distressed to learn of Douglas' death. I always was delighted to find him at any event as I knew that there would either be a deeply interesting conversation about any one of his pursuits, or wicked and witty commentary about the current goings-on.
Such a lovely, warm and intelligent man, he will be sorely missed by the many whose lives he touched.
We send you and all the family our heartfelt sympathy and thoughts.

Dear Victoria,
I was so sorry to read about your father's death. Although I didn't know him well, on those social occasions, when we met in the Townships, he was always warm, engaging, outgoing, and the life of the party.
My sincere condolences and sympathy to you and your family.

To Honor and Family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of your loss.
I did not have the chance to know Douglas very closely, however, I learned to appreciate Douglas generosity and devotion to his immediate and extended family, truly a man of all seasons.
May his memory be eternal.

My sincere condolences go out to the whole Robertson Family.
We met only once, many years ago,at Ron and Rochelle's 1966 New*Year's*Eve”. How young, and full of life we were...May I quote, perhaps to ease the sorrow, Keats' immortal reverie -
"Can death be sleep, when life is but a dream, and scenes of bliss pass as a phantom by?The transient pleasures as a vision seem, and yet we think the greatest pain's to die.How strange it is that man on earth should roam, and lead a life of woe, but not forsake his rugged path; nor dare he view alone his future doom which is but to Awake."

Dear Honor and family,
Unbelievable ... our shock and sadness at his sudden death has left us emotionally empty. What a wit, what a presence, what a host, what a friend, what an incredible human being.
Life will go on without him, but much less interesting than with him!
With heartfelt condolences to you all,
Heather and Don Johnston
