Dearest Gerry I was always so happy to chat with you via email and our dear Wendy. We shared many thoughts about our lives and wilst you always were and will will continue to be a true inspiration to myself and everyone who has known you, you will be very very much missed. I know you have gone to a much better place and it is there that some day I hope to finally meet you in person. Till then, much love.

Dear Wendy and Family: I was saddened to learn of Gerry's passing, and can only hope that all of you will find peace in knowing that he is in a better place where there is no longer any suffering to be endured. May you find the courage it takes to move forward and remember the good times.

To Gerry's family, my deepest sympathies...from an old friend of Gerry's from Ahuntsic School and Malcolm Campbell...I could still picture him polishing his shiny car, engine included, on a bright sunny day on Tolhurst street.

Dearest Olga, Joe, Wendy and Janie,

Sincere sympathy and condolences to the Chernabrow and Nagel family.

I have known your family for many years and remember growing up on deReims street, us kids going to Ahuntsic school by bus and always looking out for each other. We lived a few blocks away and always loved dropping in for a visit at the Chernabrow home. Your house was a busy fun place to be and one thing you could count on no matter what season was Gerry, he was always smiling, always happy whether he was playing hockey outside with friends or jumping around in the pool at Parc St. Simon down the street.

I am deeply saddened learning of your loss and wish you and all your loved ones strength. Gerry will be remembered by all of us who had the honor of knowing him and the special way he showed us how to be strong, love life and the importance of loving and helping one another.

Gerry, you will always be a part of us.

Love, Lily
