My sympathies to the Dobie family
I coached Brian in Baseball in the early 80's in Cote ST Paul for Kingston Community Center/ Holy Cross with his many friends and we had a great time. He was a super team mate and fun to be around. A great loss to anyone who knew him. So young to move on to the next world. Sad for the family. But know he was loved by all.
With love to Casey - our hearts go out to you and especially Brian's family, knowing that it is hardest for those left behind...our thoughts and prayers are with you. Gar and Wilma Grainger (George and Lucy).
Mr. & Mrs. Dobie, my deepest sympathies on the loss of your son Brian.
Dear Sheila and Bob
My Deepest sympathies to you and your family.
My deepest condolences to your family.
I knew Brian from work (IBM in the 90s); I shall always remember a young man of integrity, with a warm smile, a kind word for everyone and a helping hand for collegues. He has fought a hard battle, and will now rest in peace with the angels.
Dear, Sheila & Bob - Paul, Monica, Kevin, and aunt Kay. I only saw, Brian, a few times, when he was a baby and a toddler, but after reading all of the glowing comments in this book, I see that that small child grew up to be a very, wonderful man.
My heart goes out to all of you.
Love, Carol (Gover)

To all those grieving the loss of Brian;
On behalf of my Father (RIP), Mother, sister and brother, I would like to offer you our sincere condolences.
Brian was a true Olympian of life. He gave his all, right to the finish line.
It seems Brian had a signature salutation of "Over and Out" and one thing is for sure. His battles and sufferings are "Over" but in reading all the heart-felt tributes to this increible Trooper, he will never be "Out"
Rest In Peace

Brian, thanks for all the fun and great times we had. I am sure there isn't enough room on this page to describe a fraction of it all. Thank you for teaching me that a menu at the restaurant means absolutely nothing and if you ask nicely you can get pretty much whatever you want. Also thank you for being who you are. What you see is what you get. Never a dull moment and I thank you for that. You will remain a very special friend to me. I will miss you very much. My deepest sympathies to the Dobie Family.
I'll miss seeing Brian when I come back to visit. Brian always made an effort to see me when I came down to Montreal. We starting playing hockey together back in 1976 and continued to play together for many years. Brian was Captain for many of those years, for good reason, strong, dedicated to the game, a great competitor. I look back now at all the different events we attended, the Saturday night hockey games in the standing section at the Old Forum, good times on the dance floor at Woody's pub afterwards, swimming at the Baze, summer camps at Caritas. Good times. Always had a good head on his shoulder. Definitely a leader, not a follower.
He gave a valiant fight through all of that pain and now rests in peace. May we be lucky enough to see him again one day.
Bob, Shelia,Paul, Monica & Kevin,
Our Thoughts and prayer are with you.
Someone as special as Brian will never be forgotten.
It's the little things, the small every day occurences that you'll remember, the laughs, the stories the smiles, these memories will help push away the pain and bring back your smiles.
