Dear Doug, Don, Heather and Families
Although we did not spend much time with Binkie and Marj over the past many years, we have wonderful memories of being in their presence and now yours (Doug, Don and Heather). We always came away with an overwhelming sense of family, warmth, interest and fun loving good times. This, we believe is your parent's legacy to you and all of us.
From my early years, before Geoff's death, it was always a treat to go to Montreal West to be embraced by the friendly giant with the gruff voice, the ever present project, the laughter and always the yabadado.
In later years, our visits waned but Jenny and I will always remember the warm receptions, whether in Montreal or the Laurentians, and the fun, love and accepting openness for one and all, old or young, relative or not.
It seems to me, there was always a project before noon and Binkie's ever commanding voice (now so perfectly expressed by Doug and especially Don with mannerisms to boot) to intrigue young and old alike. The golf cart to the lake, the boat, the beer, the projects and more beer will never be forgotten.
It is so wonderful to see Binkie and Marj's best qualities residing in the three of you. They would be so proud of you and your spouses.
Please accept our deepest sympathy as you mourn the loss of your wonderful father.
With much love Bruce and Jenny

We so much enjoyed our visits with Ian (Binky) and send our love to the whole Brooks clan. The fact that he raised such a successful bunch with a love of family and a real zest for life speaks for what kind of dad he must have been. He will be missed by all.

Dear 'rehtaeh skoorb!' :)(Heather), Doug & Donnie and families,
So sorry to hear of your loss. So lucky you all are to have had such a wonderful father. He was always smiling...and always welcoming. May your hearts always swell with happiness when you reflect on all the wonderful memories he made with you all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Big Hugs to you all.
Love - 'Tegdirb Nahgallac' Bridget Callaghan
