I was very saddened to recently hear of Nick's passing. Nick and I were in the House of Commons together during our first time in office. I had the pleasure of being on a parliamentary trip to Japan with you and Nick and enjoyed both your company and his. He was a very kind honest parliamentarian and will be a loss for his family, friends and for Canadian politics. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences to be extended to your entire family.

George, Renee, Heather & Holly Stachovskis fondly remember Nunzio (Nick) Discepola during the time we lived in Kirkland, from 1983 to 1996, where he proudly represented us as Mayor. We were honoured to call Nick a Friend.

I was proud of the small part I played working with Nick and his election committee to help him win his first campaign as the Liberal Member of Parliament for Vaudreuil.

I also recall the enjoyment of competing against Nick in the Kirkland Men's Slo-Pitch League.

We regret losing contact with Nick & his family when my work took our family to Arizona for 12 years until 2008.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Nick's wife, Mary Alice, to all of their children and to all of the extended family.

You were a great competitor in everything you did, Nick! It goes without saying that you will be sorely missed!

May God grant you Peace.
