Maurice drew sustenance from the arts and was deeply committed to sustaining Montreal's arts community. As a dedicated member and chair of Concordia University's Fine Arts Advisory he was a keen steward and mentor. Beneath his gruff exterior was a truly kind soul.
My condolences to Maurice's family.

Maurice will be missed by all who knew him. I have known Maurice for almost 40 years, we met when he was involved on the board of directors of a rehab centre. His commitement to his fellow men made a difference. Thanks Maurice!

Dear Philippe and family: My deepest sympathy at this sad time. Maurice was my dearest friend for over thirty years and so I, along with so many others, share your loss and sorrow. Through good times and bad, he was always there - a very complex and loving man.
