OXLEY, Bruce
Born August 14, 1925 in Montreal, died peacefully at home in Kelowna, March 24, 2014. Survived by his loving children Robert, Louise, Matt and Emily; and grandchildren Laura and Kevin. A WWII veteran, Bruce was very humble about his military service, but was always ready to share his experience of such a difficult time. After selling a successful business in Montreal, he retired in 1992 and moved to Kelowna. An avid golfer, Bruce loved spending time at the golf course and is surely playing many rounds with his buddies now. Bruce was a family man, who was very proud of all of his children, showing everyone their photos which he carried around in his wallet. An outstanding gentleman, Bruce was a class act who lived his life with dignity and courage. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The Kelowna Legion will host the Last Post Service on April 21, 2014 at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.
