My sincere condolences. I just found out about Rena's passing and it mad me so sad. Rena and I strolled our babies Jason and Tara on the streets of St Laurent and I knew I had found a kindred spirit. Unfortunately we lost touch over the years, but my memories are so full iof her incredible spirit.

Warren & Jason, I just heard the news about your fantastic Mother, someone I met just 5 years ago on Veniard, but a person who I came to really connect with and feel an affinity to. We were somewhat close in age, and when I was going through a rough time, Rena was amazing telling me everything would be okay. When it became obvious that Rena was so sick herself that she could no longer take care of her mother, I just prayed for her to get better. I feel the world has lost a wonderful woman and I have missed her these past months myself, during her final battle. But wow! Her boys gave her two beautiful babies in her last year and although she is not with us now, I know that the amazing amount of Love she had to give is still there, touching and reaching her sons and grandchildren every day from where she is now...

Rena performed with Cameo Productions for several years. She excelled as Sally, in The Courting of Sally Schwartz. Her monologe on the Feminist Bride was hilarious. She was a devoted actress and loved by her audiences. She was always high-spirited and enthusiastic in her work. It was a pleasure directing her. She will be remembered. My best wishes and condolences to the family. May she rest in peace. Aviva Ravel

Always Lovable

Her eyes twinkling and laughter galore,
Her relatives looked forward to more.
Conversing with her was a natural high,
During mealtime, until we said, "bye."
Inspirational and truly one of a kind,
Being thoughtful too, not easy to find.
Attentive to any concern as it arose,
Quick to resolve it, Rena calmly knows.
Offering her good ideas put us at ease,
With a radiant smile, ready to please.
So memorable and in our hearts forever,
We keep family ties rather than sever.

Rena was always full of life, la joie de vivre, as they say. She always looked on the bright side of whatever came her way and that is how she will be remembered by her cousin Albert Konter, myself, Maureen Cohen and our son Jesse Konter. Jason and Warren our thoughts are with you. Take good care of Freda.
