LORAIN - Mildred M. Yangula (nee Kuhn), age 86, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 following a brief illness.
She was born in Lorain on May 13, 1927 and remained a life-long resident of the city. Mrs. Yangula was a 1945-B graduate of Lorain High School.
She was formerly employed as a clerk in the Tabulation Unit of U.S. Steel Corporation's Lorain-Cuyahoga Works.
She attended Ss. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church in Sheffield Township and was a member of the Ruth Naomi Circle there.

Mrs. Yangula is survived by her daughters Debra Kretovics (Dale) residing in Vermilion, and Pamela Thomas (Jeffrey) living in Huron. She also leaves her grandson, Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Brett A. Thomas who is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard. Additional survivors include her sister-in-law Carol Kuhn of Lorain, and nieces and nephews.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Yangula in 2009, by her parents John J. and Mary (nee Darvas) Kuhn, and by her brother William "Billy" Kuhn.
Graveside services will be observed today (Friday) at 11:30 a.m. in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Reverend Edgar Anthony, pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church will officiate.
Memorials are encouraged to either Ss. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church, 1500 Lincoln Blvd., Lorain, OH 44055 or to the New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Rd., Lorain, OH 44053.

I took care of Milly while she was a patient in our rehab unit at Mercy. I worked with her in Physical Therapy and always referred to her as "Mrs. Arugula" She was a bright light to our rehab unit. Always smiling and sharing some kind works. She will be missed. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of knowing her.
