Saddened to hear of her passing..Blessed to have had her for My First Grade Teacher. A great human being, a great teacher. Rest In Paradise..
My Kindergarten (K5) teacher 1951--1952 at Boone Elementary School, Lorain, OH. I have my K5 booklet and report card with handwritten notes by Miss Hunt; and my class photo (I was absent photo day). She is not forgotten. Had I known where she was, I would have visited with her at Kendall.
She lead her life well.
May she rest in eternal peace.
An inspiration to all her students.
I was one of many.
Miss Hunt was my first grade teacher, and a true inspiration. I was fortunate enough to reconnect with her in recent years. What a wonderful, amazing teacher and friend.
Miss Hunt was my kindergarten and first grade teacher at Boone School in the early fifties. How lucky I was to have known her kindness and inspiration. God bless your sweet soul, Ester, and thank you for enriching our lives as a wonderful and patient teacher to so many students.
Esther was a wonderfully warm, intelligent lady. She will be greatly missed.
Esther was a very dear family friend who knew me since I was born. She had a fantastic sense of humor, keen wit, and great memory and flair for telling stories. She will always hold a special place in our memories.
Esther Hunt was a true and inspirational friend to the Simmons family for over 50 years. Both Esther and Selma Hunt (our sister's name sake) were dear friends with our parents, Leona and Lowell. Esther was a very kind lady who was always very upbeat whenever she spoke. It's no surprise she inspired so many others who came into contact with her. Several years ago, our mother and a few siblings visited Esther in Oberlin. All they could say is how amazing she looked and how excellent her penmanship was even at the age of 99. An inspiring woman and a scholar, Miss Hunt will truly be missed.

Miss Hunt was my first grade teacher at Boone Elementary. I'll always remember her smile and gentleness.
Between 1977 and 1986 when I was the Rabbi at Agudath Bnai Israel synagogue in Lorain, I had many dealings with Esther Hunt. She organized a story reading program for the youngest children in our religious school. Anyone who saw her in action could never forget her enthusiasm which was reflected on the faces of the children. We had many conversations over the 9 years I served in Lorain. She was truly a remarkable woman and all who knew her were truly blessed.

Esther Hunt was my kindergarten teacher at Boone School in 1951. I loved her! I had the pleasure of working as her secretary with the Title I program at LCS in the 70's. How special I felt to have had that relationship with her! RIP, Miss Esther Hunt, and know that you were loved by all your former students! Sandy Kohlmyer
Miss Hunt was my very first teacher. She was so kind to all of her students, and I'm sure each one remembers her lovingly. I know I do.
What a life! What a legacy!
Miss Hunt was my first grade teacher at Boone elementary in the early 50s. I went on to become a teacher for 40 years. I guess first impressions do render a great impact.
