Shaun Douglas McCrea, 51, of Lorain, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Oak Hills Nursing Home in Lorain following a long illness.
Mr. McCrea was born in Lorain on December 29, 1966, the son of the late Dennis W. and Mary Jane (nee Zadorozny) McCrea. He was a graduate of Firelands High School. He had been employed at Ford Motor Corp. in Avon Lake. He enjoyed family gatherings, playing the guitar, and singing.
Mr. McCrea is survived by his sister, Shannon A. McCrea of Avon Lake; two brothers, Scott D. McCrea of Vermilion and Dale W. Garnek of Norwalk; and his nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Garnek; and his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorthea Schuster.
Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, in Calvary Cemetery of Lorain.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Ave., Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
