I too have fond memories of his little jewelry store. My mom having worked in Girard for years, used his store all the time. I still have my "sweet 16" birthstone ring and graduation watch she bought me there.
Condolences to the family especially old friends Becky and Pat.

Girard has lost another "special person" with the passing of John. We bought many pieces of jewelry from him, including both our wedding rings. It was always a joy to go into his jewelry store & wouldn't let you leaved until he told you a joke or two. He was also a wonderful neighbor to our family & I remember babysitting his children.
Our deepest sympathy to his family.
RIP Dear Friend

I'm so sorry for your loss. It was always a pleasure visiting Uncle Bud in the store and being on the receiving end of his great sense of humor. He will be missed. Now, he is reunited with Aunt Margaret once again. God bless.
