RIP " Annie" as her friends called her. I will miss my mom alot. She taught me many life lessons . Also she passed down my quotes from her mom and dad. Her love of books and travel were passed down to me .She encouraged reading in her grandchildren as well . Her grandson's (My boys ) loved going to their country home and riding the tractor, shooting BB guns with grandpa , and eating grandma's good cooking. My mother was very talented with knitting and crocheting as well. She created the most beautiful baby sweater outfits and blankets.
I love you mom and I hope you are with Richie right now. You will always be in my heart. Your daugher, Suzanna

I remember spending time at her house and swinging on the tire swing, and walking around the yard with her. It's to bad I never got to see her that much when I got older but I love you and you'll be missed.

There are many memories of my Oma , arts & crafts , cookies , summers in Bloomfield, her drawer of goodies for every visit, trips to the library, special Dutch Indo dinners , the wooden spoon, Darien lake , Stoney Brook, hours of conversation on the phone with stories about the war and her life in Holland .... I could go on for pages . We use to play a game where would close our eyes ,put our faces together, count to three and see who could open their eyes the biggest and keep them open, she would win every time ! If I close my eyes now I can see every detail of hers, they were fierce and loving , familiar but full of mystery, perfection. I learned much and couldn't of asked for a better teacher.

My aunt Ann emigrated to America when i was 3 years old. I have seen her once again when she came to visit Holland for the first time when i was in my late thirty's. She was a lovely lady and want to hug my son Tom all the time. She will be missed!
