My greatest memory of Uncle Joe is spending spending summer vacation at there home in town called or near Pumpkin Hook. We went to the fair I think.I remember catching fireflies and blowing up things with firecrackers with my cousins...good times. This must have been over 35 years ago. Love you all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Joe conquered so much through his life and was an inspiration to so many over the years. His story will live on in the books he has written...both autobiography and fiction. He was a wonderful husband to my little sister Judy and a great father/grandfather, brother-in-law and Uncle. We will miss and love you forever.

My memories of Joe go way back to when I was a child and he would stop by to see the family here in Plattsburgh. I thought he was the most gentle person I had ever met. That really endeared him to me and I am saddened by his passing. He was a very special cousin and I will always remember him fondly. My prayers will be for those he left behind because your loss is great...

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
