Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts and memories. I miss my brother.

I've certainly struggled with what to write about this. Like so many others who knew Gabe, I don't think it's hit me yet that he's gone.

Several stories come to mind, starting from all of the flag football games we played in the fall of his sophomore year in high school (my senior year) that he suggested be relocated to the park by his house once the baseball coaches banned us from playing at Midland High.

There was also his recruiting visit to Southwestern, where he fit in immediately. While we bracing to make the hard sell to him, he let us know rather quickly that he felt comfortable at SU and that this was where he wanted to be.

I'm sad that we lost touch over the years but am not surprised at his success. Many people talk about being a "stand-up guy" but very few live it day and day out. He was one of those who did. I don't know anyone who had a bad word to say about him, and I don't know that I ever saw him in a bad mood.

To Gabe's family, my sincere condolences on your loss. I know there's nothing we can do to make this time any easier, but please know how much of a positive impact he had on others.

I am so very saddened by the news of Gabe's untimely passing. While we regretfully lost touch after our time at Southwestern I am comforted to know that Gabe touched so many other peoples lives in Oklahoma and Texas. Glad to see that he still had his signature laugh and smile that could warm any room. He will be missed by his friends and family. My condolences go out to his Wife and his young child and the rest of his family and friends he left behind. Rest in peace good brother Lawson - in coelo quies est

Gabe,
I always thought that I'd see you again. Thinking of you brings back so many memories of life at Southwestern, when we were all so young and trying to figure out who we were and what life was all about. You had a certain wisdom under all that laughter and wit; I am grateful for all that you taught me. I can still hear your laughter, and I hope I always will.

God Bless.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Lawson family. I never had the opportunity to meet you but having such a fine young man who cared for all and was loved by everyone that met him speaks a lot for your family. I have tried cases with and against Gabe in Tulsa and he was always a prince of man to work with and know. We will miss you Gabe but will alway keep you in our minds and heart.

Steve and I met Gabe when we first moved to Tulsa. He made us feel welcome at Golf Club of Oklahoma and we became friends with him and Tiffany. We celebrated the birth of Alex, which was a total joy! He gave us very good advice on several occasions and was always full of fun. We missed the family when they moved to Midland and are very sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I also worked with Gabe at Atkinson, Haskins. He was my go to guy for reality shows. We would talk every day about what was going on. I still miss that.

I worked with Gabe for many years at Atkinson Haskins. I have many fond memories of Gabe, especially his ability to make you join in his laughter. He had such a contagious laugh that made you smile just to hear it. We will miss you Gabe. The world is a little less brighter with you not in it my friend. My deepest sympathy to Tiffany, Alex and all of Gabe's family.

I practiced law and played golf with Gabe for many years in Tulsa. He always had a smile on his face and was a joy to be around. He was a great lawyer and a better person. You will be missed, my friend! My sincere condolences to his loved ones.
