HI Cindy, Ruthie, Trishia, and all,
I along with you will cherish the memories of your dad , and mother. You were one of the first families we ever met way back in the 50's.

Remember the Easter egg hunts we went on as kids, and our parents getting together throwing us birthday parties? Oh my gosh how the years have past.

Your dad was great, and when you had slumber parties and we stayed up way too late and raided the fridge, he never got mad at us he just was stern about us getting to bed sometine soon.

I wish I could have attended the mass and visitation, but I was working. Our love as well as condolances go out to you and the family.

Our memories will not fade the glorious times we all had.

Love to all,
Bob, Pat, and Connie (Manna)

To all of the Schumann Family,
Our condolences go out to you and as good of a man as Max was, you know that he is resting alongside God. What a pleasure it was to have grown up around such a wonderful man and family. And what good times we had together, some of us more than the others. A few of us had the fortunate privilege of spending hours out at the ranch riding in the back of a pickup and munching down on cholesterol filled mayonnaise and bologna sandwiches. And let's not forget to mention all of the good times we had in various activities centered around St. Ann's. Those were the days. Peace be with you, Dorothy, Cindy, Ruthie, Tricia, Jody, Mary, and Andy. Thanks Max!!!!!!!!
Joe Ed, Anne, Mike, Gerry, Carol, Chris, Kem, and Tim Canon

Dear Dorothy and all the Schumann Family,
I am so sorry about your loss. Max's death leaves a great void in our world, and yet his love and presence live on through the faith and love he so freely shared with everyone. Max was our first cousin -- we are the Robert and Rosa Heinrich family of High Hill, Texas (near Schulenburg). Max's mother, Anna Muehr Schumann and our mother, Rosa Muehr Heinrich were sisters and when Anna died, Max came to live with our family for several months and my mother took care of him. She always loved him as one of her own. Max came to all of our family funerals and to some of the weddings and we loved to have long conversations with him. He was one of the most loving and giving persons we knew and we loved him. I know that God, Max's family that has gone before him, and a whole host of other people have given him a beautiful homecoming in heaven. He has been a good and faithful servant. All of you have been loved and mentored by one of the best. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this great loss. May you be consoled in knowing that Max is now sitting at the heavenly banquet table and having a long conversation with God! May you be blessed with peace.

Dear Dorothy, Cindy,Ruthie, Trisha, Jody, Mary and Andy,
Somehow we thought your husband and your daddy would live forever, so when Cindy called to say that brother, Max passed, we could not believe it and it is hard to accept in now.
It grieves us greatly that because of our health we are not able to attend the last services for Max.
As you recite the rosary tonight, we will recite it here in New Braunfels also in Max's memory.
Tomorrow as you say your last good-bye to Max, we too will be reliving our memories which we enjoyed with him. We pray that your loss will be lightened by the fact that so many others are trying to comfort you as this time of your deep sorrow.
If we lived as Max lived, the world would be at brighter place.
With our deepests sympathy and love, your brother-in-law and sister-in-law; uncle and aunt,
William and Dolores Schumann

To all the family,
