Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Greene Family know that we recently made a small donation to the Greater New York City Ice Hockey League, a not-for-profit youth hockey organization located in Brooklyn, New York in honor of Harold J. Greene US Army Major General. We also sent some biographical information to the league so that they might learn a little something about this great American and share that with the youth players. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

To the family of MG Greene, we too are a family who has sacrificed for our Country. I am sure MG Green has saved many of those who served with him, by his action and his words. Thanks for your sacrifice and know he will never be forgotten. Proud mother of PFC Katie M Soenksen KIA Iraq 2007

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Harold will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed.

But I salute you; allow me the honor to salute you with permission let me say. Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part. I salute you.
For those missing in action;for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor to salute you with permission let me say even though I hold no rank know that from my heart my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you.

I Salute You.

"Nothing is more noble, nothing more venerable than fidelity. Faithfulness and truth are the most sacred excellences and endowments of the human mind. - Cicero"

Thank you General Greene your sacrifice and your faith in our country.

An Air Force guy who benefited from General Greene's passion for helping people he hardly knew, his great sense of humor and "can do spirit." I considered him my hero for getting me through the bureaucracy without so much as a wink. He was a wonderful man and this is such a sad day. See you on the other side, Sir, with the "thank you I forgot!" Hats off to you and Sue.
