My sincere sympathy on the loss of your father. Although I didn't know Mr. Schumann, his good nature and twinkle in the eye was present in the three children I did know - Jody, Mary and Andy. May God comfort your family as you grieve his loss.

With fond memories,
Vicky Calhoun Saxe

"My thoughts and prayers for the Schumann Family." I remember seeing Mr. Schumann at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and also at "Mateo Diner" with his daughters. God Bless a sweet Man.

Our sincere sympathy to all of the Max Schumann family. Max was our first cousin and even though we didn't see him as often as we would have liked, he has a special place in our hearts. He was a true gentleman, raised a wonderful family and showed his love for God in so many ways. He left a great legacy in his family and his business. We will miss him.

To all of the Schumann Family,
Our condolences go out to you and as good of a man as Max was, you know that he is resting alongside God. What a pleasure it was to have grown up around such a wonderful man and family. And what good times we had together, some of us more than the others. A few of us had the fortunate privilege of spending hours out at the ranch riding in the back of a pickup and munching down on cholesterol filled mayonnaise and bologna sandwiches. And let's not forget to mention all of the good times we had in various activities centered around St. Ann's. Those were the days. Peace be with you, Dorothy, Cindy, Ruthie, Tricia, Jody, Mary, and Andy. Thanks Max!!!!!!!!

All the Schumann family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We will keep you all in our thought and prayers. Nothing we can say will take away the pain, but just know that he is in a better place with no pain and suffering, and that he will always be with you in you heart and through all those wonderful memories.
Praying for you all,

Dear Dorothy and all the Schumann Family,
I am so sorry about your loss. Max's death leaves a great void in our world, and yet his love and presence live on through the faith and love he so freely shared with everyone. Max was our first cousin -- we are the Robert and Rosa Heinrich family of High Hill, Texas (near Schulenburg). Max's mother, Anna Muehr Schumann and our mother, Rosa Muehr Heinrich were sisters and when Anna died, Max came to live with our family for several months and my mother took care of him. She always loved him as one of her own. Max came to all of our family funerals and to some of the weddings and we loved to have long conversations with him. He was one of the most loving and giving persons we knew and we loved him. I know that God, Max's family that has gone before him, and a whole host of other people have given him a beautiful homecoming in heaven. He has been a good and faithful servant. All of you have been loved and mentored by one of the best. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this great loss. May you be consoled in knowing that Max is now sitting at the heavenly banquet table and having a long conversation with God! May you be blessed with peace.
