Always a joy. Always a friend. A teacher who remembered all her students. And when by chance you met her out and about she would always inquire how that child was doing. It has been 20 years since Jacob had her at Lakeside. Just a few months ago my husband talked with her at Clark and she was her same lovely self. Godspeed.

What a spectacular gal Beverly was. Duke & I will miss seeing a spry 80 year old marching up and down the hills past our house. We hope to be half as good as she was at 80+ when we're 60 so we're going to kick start a healthier life, even if temporary, by doing the Reeds Lake Trail after her service. Love to you all.

Dear Susan and Steve,
Please accept our deepest symhathy on the death of your mother. we first met Bev when she was Ted's 2nd grade teacher at Wealthy School. Ted was new, and was shy and didn't like to speak up in class. Bev said to him, "Don't worry Ted, you only have to answer once a day." Of course, that was once more than he had previously spoken, and from then on, had the confidence to speak up all the time! Twom years laater she taught Andy. I remember walking past her classroom and looking in. Andy was sitting right in front of the door and I thought I would catch his eye. No way. He was concentrating so hard he never looked up! That was the kind of teacher she was, thoroughly engaging, interested and interesting. Several years later she also taught Tony and inspired him as well.

Much later we moved to Manhattan Road next door to Bev and Ced. Bev was an amazing athlete. I remember her skating on Reeds Lake...looking like a 20 year old! We had great fun as neighbors. How proud she was of you two and your children. I heard all about you and your activities and achievements. I think we probably met from time to time when you visited. Her grandchildre were her special favorites and we loved hearing about their doings.
We move out to Cascade and began spending most of our time in FLorida and COlorada but would see each other from time to time to catch up. She was excited when she learned about my beginning painting and loved showing me her studio and art. Bev was a Renaissance woman, interested in everything...she lived a full life.
I wish I could see and talk to you but we will be in Boston for a family wedding and sadly will not be able to attnd the memorial. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you both and your families.
Fondly, Sally Gleason ( and Tom)

Susan and Steve,

It's been a long time since our shadows graced the halls of Breton Downs and I am very sorry for your loss. Your mother was an incredible life force and seeing her picture in the obituary brought a smile to my face as I remembered her engaging style coupled with her care and concern for every person she encountered. God bless your mother, and you and your families as you remember her in your hearts forever.
