When Tricia & I think about Doug, it brings a smile to our faces. Tricia cheering for him @ RHS & our paths crossing in the early 80s through mutual friends. We remember: Arbys, Pizza Hut, ZZ Top, Eddie Money, Air Guitars, Stroh's, ball games, New Years Eve @ Casey's house, etc. Doug was always smiling & very nice to us girls. Our regret is not being able to reconnect. We lost touch as everybody made new lives with new partners. Very impressed to read where Doug's life had brought him. We were deeply saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I remember Doug as a very nice person who achieved greatly in athletics and remained humble. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Chappell family at this time
