Leo was one of the finest men I've ever met. Before I married Bob Chapman (Leo's across-the-street-neighbor) in 2002, I met Leo and Vange for the first time. In their characteristic warm and hospitable way, they invited neighbors (including me) to their club for dinner. I loved Leo immediately! In the twelve years I knew him, he had a profound effect on me because of his interest in others, his enduring connectedness to so many friends, and his genuine fondness for people in general. When I received my PhD a few years ago, the most beautiful bouquet of roses arrived on our doorstep--from Leo and Vange!!
These are the sorts of memories Leo has left sprinkled across the landscape he inhabited. Much love to all of his family. I will smile every time I think of this wonderful human being.
