To the Harris family...you were so very lucky to have had such a great and amazing person in your life...He was proud of every moment he spent on earth and was a true gift to all..Friend,Father,co-worker and acquaintance..He held all titles of a great man and will be missed most definitely..You have been truly blessed..many sympathies to your family.
Very sorry for your loss...My husband and I were patients of Dr Harris when he first opened his practice on Peck St and continued until he retired from Norton Family Pratice. He was what every doctor should be to their patients...he knew them. He was always caring, dedicated and concerned plus a smile for you. I saw him at Sears after his retirement and asked what he was doing as I knew he wasn't a person to sit still. He was doing surgeries for patients that otherwise couldn't afford to have them done. He told me the community had been good to him and he wanted to give back. Such a great person...now he is in heaven lending a hand. Our prayers go out to you.
My family and I knew Dr. Dick through Dr. Grasman. He set my broken ankle, set my youngest son's wrist and operated on my oldest son. When I went to work at Hackley, then Mercy Hospital, I would often see him and he would always smile and say hello. After I had a mastectomy, he came to see me in the hospital to give me encouragement. After he retired, I had a hernia operation and he assisted. He came to the preop area to let me know he was there, and we talked until it was time for surgery. I'll miss you, Dick. My prayers are with your family.
So sorry to hear of Dr. Harris' passing. He was our Doctor from the time he opened his office on Peck St. in the Heights, until he gave up his office practice. He took great care of me, my husband and three children. In my opinion, he was what a Doctor should be. He was very caring and took great care of all his patients. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May peace be with you at this trying time.
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
