Mary Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, MRS. MARY ANN Mrs. Mary Ann Anderson, 82, passed away early Saturday morning, October 26, 2013 at her home. Born September 7, 1931 to Romeo and Anna (Chihon) Trottier in Maranisco, MI, she lived in Bay City for many years before moving to Muskegon in the late 90's. She was the widow of Roy Byron Anderson who died October 9, 1996. Mrs. Anderson had been employed as a quilting machine operator at Wolverine Knitting Mills in Bay City for many years. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Muskegon, its Altar Guild and Quilters Group, which makes hundreds of quilts for Third World countries. Her SURVIVORS include three daughters: Ann (Bob) Metiva of Twin Lake, Carol (Jim) Foster of Houghton Lake, and Debi (Dave) Carpenter of Colorado Springs, CO; a son-in-law, Chuck Picardy of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren: Jamie Picardy and Will Tilton, Tom Picardy, James and Rachel Metiva, Cory and Trevor Carpenter; and a brother Roy Trottier. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Patricia Picardy. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Mrs. Anderson at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 31, 2013 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (1206 Whitehall Rd., N. Muskegon) with Pastor William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION will be at the Church from 10-11 A.M. Thursday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the First Lutheran Quilt Group would be appreciated. The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey Street 231-798-1100 is assisting the family.
