To the Family of
Cpl. Christopher M. Monahan Jr.

I wish I had the right words to say at this time, but I know there are none. I grieve for the loss of your beloved son and I know that I cannot fathom the pain you must be feeling. Your son will not be forgotten and what he did to help protect our homeland and our freedoms. It was his life that made him a Hero. It was his noble path that made him an American Hero. It was his ultimate sacrifice that made him a Fallen Hero. May God carry him to Heaven on His precious wings and give him a palace to live in. I pray that our Heavenly Father above will grace you with His love, His comfort and His peace. Heaven's Gates now has a new handsome Marine standing guard. Amen.

We extend our sympathy to his family and friends and pray you will be comforted knowing he has joined the ranks of others throughout our nation's history who were willing to give their all so that others may know freedom.

To the Monahan family: I am sorry for your loss. Christopher was a good Marine and a good man. I had the fortune to have him in my platoon over the last year. He had a very positive impact on everything he was involved in. He could brighten the mood on the darkest day. We know he is watching over us as we finish our deployment. Semper Fi Brother.

When you teach a child to say the Pledge of Allegiance and to sing the Star-Spangled Banner in Kindergarten, you never think that someday that child may give his life for our country. Thank you, Chris, for your ultimate sacrifice to keep our country free. God bless you! To the Monahan family my deepest sympathy - Chris was a wonderful little boy and I'm sure he became a terrific young man, husband and daddy. My prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

I knew Chris for about 3 years starting out at WFTBN In cali Together and Coming to CLB-2 In North Carolina, and then deploying together to this awesome country of Afghanistan. The day I was told that Chris Passed was a horrible day I didnt know what to do because me and him were very close and we were supposed to leave here together. I miss him everyday and know that he is now resting peacefully, To his family I am sorry that this has happened and My thoughts and Prayers are with You all.

I did not know Chris or his family. I was at the Veteran Cemetery yesterday, visiting an old friend when Chris arrived. Trying to find my friend, I got lost and was cut off by a long line of cars. From the numbers, I knew it had to be an important person. The cars kept coming. I imagined an older person who lived a long and fruitful life. Another car pulled alonside of me. He had somehow become separated from the procession. He told me it was a young Marine killed last week. Then came the tears and prayers. I am a stranger but my love, thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless Chris and his family. Rick Romatowski, US Navy Vietnam Era Veteran
