January 30, 2014
To whom it may concern: Hi I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. My condolences go out to you and your family. Many today question if death ends it all, or what happens to those who die. Titus 1:2 says "[We have the hope] of everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." So we can see that there is victory over death, and surely that something to look forward to. I hope all gets better. Please hang in there and have a nice day.
January 30, 2014
Bob, I was a member of the NYPD. You gave listeners a chance to hear the injustices that happened to me (30) years ago. My wife and I will always be eternally grateful. God bless you, Bob and sincere condolences to your family

...so many people have said so much about our *God* Grant Radio Guy. There was his vast knowledge and opinions-fair. The wonderful memories, his intelligence, a deadpan sense of humor, a laugh that was catching--knowledge, passion, great allegiance loyalty...he respected RESPECT. Insight and perception were some of his teasures. Sweet, dear man...you live on. xo

I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in the Bible at Hosea 13:14. There God says he will redeem their soul from the grave.
January 08, 2014
My sympathy's to Bob's family. I have listened to Bob since his days at WMCA.
What I really loved about him was his candor. As a listener I always felt he believed what he was saying, a rare trait in today's politically correct atmosphere. I also loved his sense of humor. Whether it was using the pouring of a glass of water sound effect while listening to a caller or his statements. Vintage Bob, “Where are you from and HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN MY COUNTRY PAL”
Bob was truly a one of a kind. Rest in peace. I will miss you.
January 08, 2014
you brought much listening pleasure and also many truths out in the open that no one else had the guts to verbalize. heartfelt sympathy to all your family. Frank Miller, Branchville NJ

I remember listening to Bob Grant when I really got interested in talk radio. He had a big influence on me and now I only listen to talk radio. I was so happy to hear him back a while ago. Funny story, when my daughter was born 25 years ago this month, I was listening to Bob when i was in labor and of course will always remember that day. I was a big fan and will miss him very much!! God bless Bob Grant and his family!!
January 06, 2014
One of a kind. Made my weekly drives from Albany to New York at best a latvian american listener. RIP Balva
January 05, 2014
I listened to Bob Grant, and yrs back called on occasion...I remember calling and singing, "I just called to say I love you"...and he half chuckled then asked, "what's on your mind"...I was a fan, as so many I know for yrs. If you wanted someone *right on* listen to Bob. He was intelligent, wise, perceptive, with a good memory. His knowledge was vast, and he shared it, and his opinions of what he liked or disliked. He had a great sense of humor and laugh...and knew that saying "how are you to him" didn't mean he wouldn't be turned on. He was clever. His laughter and sense of humor was the cream on the cake. He called it as it was, and saw it as it was/is...he was fair. Have to be open minded, and he was. He was all the things you would want in a Radio Host. Listen, Laugh, Learn, make your own decisions; but be respectful. The Lord Bless him and his family, those who were close to him, friends, fans who cared deeply, will miss him. We miss him. He was genuine.

Deepest sympathy to Bob Grant's family. I gave my parents, who past away recently, a trip to go with Bob to Israel many years ago. They loved his company! It saddened me to hear of Bob's passing. I am sure he is in heaven telling someone to get off his phone! )

He made my travels as a salesman informative and educational as an intelligent person he always gave credibility to his opinions.
January 04, 2014
I have listened to Bob Grant since his 1970 arrival in NYC. Although his Italian was bad, I always got a big kick when he directed his Italian dialect barbs at some of our most deserving politicians. He was a credit to his Italian-American heritage. There will never be another like him. May Christ receive his Eternal soul
January 04, 2014
My late mother Shirley endured many years requiring constant best rest. She would listen to Bob's show almost every day and would occasionally call in. After my mom passed, I contacted Bob and asked if he would mention my mother's name on his Sunday show, which he graciously complied and for which I am eternally grateful. May his family be comforted by the knowledge that Bob Grant inspired countless people to keep their minds open. Despite Bob's outward gruffness, longtime listeners knew of his compassionate heart. G-d rest your soul Bob.

January 03, 2014
I really miss listening to Bob.

January 03, 2014
Bob, you we're an inspiration to me in my early daze at St. Pius. I will miss you hosting my show when I'm away.
January 03, 2014
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Bob was well loved and valued by his family, his friends, and his fans. I found Bob's obituary very interesting and candid. It makes me long for a time when all citizens on earth will have to acknowledge that "God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him." [Acts 10:34-35]. Until then, hold on to fond memories of Bob, and remember that he is precious in God's eyes.
January 03, 2014
RIP Mr. Grant..Your radio show opened many eyes and ears..
January 03, 2014
Bob was the man that taught me and my brothers how to think with an open mind. Hours of listening a day while on the job revealed a spiritual and sensitive spirit as well as the well known combative radio legend. You are loved by many and I will miss you. Your influence counts and you impacted so many lives. God bless you in your eternal home and may your loved ones find comfort in this difficult time. Bob was the best there ever was at his craft.

My condolences to the Grant family during this most difficult time. May God grant you the strength needed to cope with your loss.
January 03, 2014
Most people never got to see the "nice" side of Bob Grant. When he was at the wake of Sam Perelli (founder of United Taxpayers of NJ), with the help of Paul O'Keefe, Bob Made so many individuals in the room feel important by the work they had done at the local levels of government.

Of course we all know how entertaining Bob was. At a fundraising breakfast for the UTNJ, he had the audience doubled over with laughter as he explained the difference between a gavone and a scumbariche.

We will all miss him on the air as he urged all of us to get involved by saying "Your influence counts, use it"
January 03, 2014
R.I.P. Bob. Thanks for the memories. You will be missed.

Bob was well ahead of his time and a man of principle. He disliked Mayor Dinkins which shows he was a fine judge of character. Hope the Reo Diner honors him in some way. He put them and Woodbridge NJ on the map.

The things you said may have offended some, but they needed to be said!
