Thoughts and prayers go out to Tom's family....we were great friends as young kids, but lost touch as the years went on.....I always remember him being so kind hearted and funny and I truly enjoyed growing up with him....so so saddened by this news.
I remember what a nice kid you were, and FUNNY.Sure wish I would have taken your advice when I made one of the worst decisions of my life as a dumb 17 year old back in late '84, or early '85...Not really sure when exactly. All I know is that you should be here and not here in these obituaries.God bless you, Tom.
RIP God Speed Tom. It was a pleasure to know you. Taken too soon. Somerset Co. Police Academy Classmate #26-01
God Bless You Buddy...Heaven Just Got a whole lot funnier.
It was really always great talking Rangers with you, I am very sad to hear of your passing. You and your family will be in your prayers
My deepest sympathy to Tom's family and friends. I met Tom a few years back when I was looking for a lost dog in Edison. I will never forget his sense of humor and his stories. He loved his dogs deeply as we talked a lot of animals. My next rescue dog will be named Wolford, hopefully it won't be a girl dog. Rest in peace my fellow dog lover. Christine Cooper, Kendall Park
Tom I can't believe you are gone. Ever since I heard all I have done is think about us when we were younger and how excited you were to finally get the chance to be an Edison Police Officer. For the short time you were on this earth you touched many lives and for me especially I am so grateful that you had touched mine. God could not have gotten a more perfect angel. Now you are at peace with your mom and dad.
You will be forever be loved, missed and remembered.
You were Blessed with the gift of Good Humor and The Lord will definitely let you know that your job was well done. He favors those of Good Humor because you are a blessing to others. I will always keep our memories near and dear to my heart. You will be missed dearly!!
Rest in peace Tom. You will always be part of the EPD family. We will continue to keep you in our hearts today and always. Keep eternal watch over your brother's and sisters.

Tom, you were simply the best! The best NY Ranger fan, the best Uncle, the best Godfather, the best police officer and our best friend forever. We will miss you but know that you remain in our hearts FOREVER. Your best friends...
We miss you so much bud...
My deepest condolences to your family. Although we may have only met once when we were children while your parents were alive it seems that I have been the once missing out on such a kind man. The messages left here are so wonderful and you have done so much for so many. Making people smile, happy and feeling loved & safe appears to have been your style. I wish our families have stayed in touch more often. My dad (vincent"skip" MacDonald) was your moms first cousin. Your maternal Grandfather and my paternal Grandfather were brothers. May you rest in eternal peace.
Love Karen (MacDonald) Regina
