Erik John Geise
AGE: 37 • Louisville, KY
Erik John Geise, 37, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in Louisville, KY, where he resided since April. Erik was the beloved son of John and Charlene (McCarthy) Geise, loving dad to Aaron and Emma Geise, spouse of Heather (Bell) Geise and brother of Daryl Geise.
Erik was born June 7, 1976 and lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Manchester, NJ in 1980 where he lived until he moved to Ohio in 2010.
Erik is survived by his maternal grandparents, Edythe and Jeremiah McCarthy; his godparents, Kevin McCarthy and Barbara Stretch; his aunt, Jo Ann Geise and cousins. Erik was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Anna Mae and John Geise Sr.
Erik graduated from Manchester High School in 1994 and attended the University of Southern California, studying Economics and Film. The Manchester Little League, where he played from Tee Ball to Senior League, was a centerpiece of his childhood. Erik was an avid fisherman, technophile, and loved to travel. He was employed by Cingular and AT&T and was a Global Proposal Manager at Avaya.
Erik passed much too soon but was blessed with so many wonderful friends and will be forever loved and missed by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service to honor Erik and celebrate his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, 1070 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the children, Aaron and Emma Geise, P.O. Box 634, Lakehurst, NJ 08733.

we just celebrated the 4th of July. a time to appreciate the lives we are fortunate to live but also remember people we cared about who are no longer with us. Eric was a good man who is missed by one and all.
