Dear Peggy, Christine, Bill and Michael,
Chuck and I were so sorry to hear of your great loss.
It seems like only yesterday that we met at St. Mary's.

Bill was "the man, "the face," (the hands and feet, heart and soul) of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.(I have no idea how he did what he did almost single handedly with the assistance and spiritual guidance of Father Colleran.)

Back in the "those days," Masses were being celebrated at the Hillsmere School. We had a Christian Service Committee there. When Mass was discontinued at Hillsmere, we were asked one Sunday by Bill if we could join forces to provide
service to the less fortunate. We were thrilled. And, so began the expansion of what Bill had started. Here we are together 45 years plus later, thanks to Bill and his "forever" commitment to serving those in need. What a difference one man has made in this life and how fortunate I feel to be part of the organization he started.

Chuck and I want to extend our deepest sympathy to you, Peggy, and to you, Christine, Bill and Michael and your families. Bill was a beautiful person. I cannot imagine how much you will miss him.
Love to and prayers for you all.
