Tell me this isn’t true
That my eyes are deceiving me…PLEASE!
That sky that I once knew to be true and blue
Is not now dark and filled with tragedy?

Symbols of freedom no longer stand
The people of America have to protect our precious land
Our flag has been raised and will wave in the winds
Justice will be served as our nation defends

So much lost in the wake of this storm
Innocence has perished on our country’s soil
These actions are not going to make us conform
Nor will we let these actions go with recoil.

Those who brought our country to its knee’s
Did not keep us down but made us see
That we are truly a nation of unity

Our flag stands tall for those who were lost
These patriotic heroes never to be forgotten with their horrific cost
For they reminded all of us of something to save
Love our land of the free and the home of the truly brave…

I'm not very good with words, but then maybe there doesn't need to be much more said than - "Our thoughts are with you." Thank you to everyone who has assisted at Ground Zero. No one else will ever be able to comprehend the work you have done there and how physically and emotionally draining that act of love had to have been. Also, thank you to everyone who has given blood, money, prayers, love, time, and tears to help all of us unite and became stronger in the face of adversity.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your lost loved ones. Take comfort in your sweet memories and that your love for each other will keep you strong through these first hard days and the future to come. Your lost ones are always with you, and are smiling as your smiles come back through the tears and as the days ease the sharp pain of loss.

All the best,
Kerry

The morning of September 11th was a day of horror and terrorism, sadness and disbelief.
Many lives ruined and taken from their loved ones and from our nation.
Being 22 growing up we never had to worry about terrorism, now it is so close to home. " How? How could this have happened?"
Driving to work each morning including this morning seeing all the flags hanging outside homes, businesses, and off cars, and trucks, including mine, it just brings tears to my eyes each and every day..
Knowing our nation is coming together as " ONE " and showing everyone that we are all "Proud to be an American"
My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims, their family and friends. Also my thoughts and prayers are with all those in NY helping with the rescue efforts.
God Bless you all!
" I'm proud to be an American."

I have a Memorial Web page that I invite you to visit. In my mind I call it "The World of 'What if.............?'

Its theme:

"You who dwell... On eagles' wings
who abide in His shadow for life
say to the Lord, "My refuge
my God in whom I trust."

And He will raise you up on eagles' wings bear you on the breath of dawn make you to shine like the sun and hold you in the palm of his hand.
