We here in the midwest have now lost the best 2 shorttrack racers I have ever seen racing stockcars. Mr.Dick Trickle and Mr.Joy Fair. Now they are both in heaven telling racing stories and looking for the next checker flag. Rip Mr.#99 and Mr.#1

I was in shock when I read about his death on Thursday. Rest in peace Dick Trickle. Loved watching you race hard. I pray that God bestows peace and comfort on your family. I'm so sorry for the family's loss.

I lived in the Midwest in the '70's and early '80's. He won some 1000 short track races and was a legend and you couldn't pick up a newspaper that didn't tell of his victories. He was a pleasure to watch in Nascar as well. He will be missed.

October 2012 I was full of smiles because I finally got to meet you my friend. You were so sweet and so happy. Today my heart is so sad that I won't see you in October of 2013 or any October after that. You were one of the great ones, talented and personable. You will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to your family.
Your Fan Forever.
